The loudest V8 GM ever built.

The LT6 is a 5.5-litre flat-plane-crank V8 making 670 horsepower at 8,400 rpm, the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 ever fitted to a production car. It runs a dry sump and titanium connecting rods and revs to 8,600. Nothing else wearing this badge sounds remotely like it.

Engineering

Catted downpipes into a crossover centre section and four centre-exit tips, burnt titanium throughout. A flat-plane crank delivers an even exhaust pulse from each bank, which is exactly the case where balancing the two sides properly is worth the work.
