Hybrid V8, centre exit.

The P1 pairs a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 with an electric motor for a combined 916 PS, one of the three hybrid hypercars that defined 2013 and one of only 375 built. The electric side fills in the bottom of the rev range, which leaves the exhaust to do its work at the top.

Engineering

A titanium X-section running into twin centre-exit tips, burnt through the bends where the heat collects. Direct bolt-on throughout: the factory system comes off and goes back on, which matters on a car this rare.
