Nettuno V6, uncorked.

The Nettuno is the first engine Maserati designed in twenty years: 3.0 litres, twin-turbocharged, 630 PS at 7,500 rpm and an F1-derived pre-chamber ignition system with a second spark plug per cylinder. A genuinely novel engine, sat behind a thoroughly conventional exhaust.

Engineering

Heat-shielded catted downpipes with braided flex sections feed a paired centre loop and valve-controlled rear silencers on twin burnt titanium tips. The shielding earns its place on a mid-engined car where the system sits hard against the bulkhead.
