518 horsepower from four naturally aspirated litres, 9,000 rpm, and the first drag reduction system fitted to a production Porsche. The RS is the GT3 with every compromise resolved toward the circuit.

Engineering

Heat-wrapped equal-length headers and catted sections run into an X-pipe on twin tips. The gold wrapping is a thermal decision, not a cosmetic one: it keeps radiated heat off everything an RS packs into the rear of the car.
